Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

August 6 and 9, 2025

August 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In honor of those who lost their lives, in recognition of the Hibakusha, and to promote a peaceful world, commemorative events were held in Hiroshima and across the world. Several members of the Mapping Nuclear Legacies team attended these events. This page hosts their reflections.
